The Pt-Ni2P/CNs composite exhibits superior electrocatalytic activity and charge-transfer ability, leading to a high power conversion efficiency of 9.11% in DSSCs, which is significantly higher than that of conventional Pt/CNs CEs. This study contributes to the development of low-cost and highly efficient catalytic materials for DSSCs.

1:Experimental Design and Method Selection
Electrospun and solvothermal methods were used to synthesize Pt-Ni2P supported carbon nanofibers.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources
Polyacrylonitrile (PAN), nickel (II) acetylacetonate [Ni(acac)2], trioctylphosphine (TOP), N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF), oleylamine (OAM), ethanol, and n-hexane were used as received without any further processing.

X-ray powder diffractometer (D8-Advance, Bruker, Germany), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) (ESCALAB250 Thermo VG, America), scanning electron microscopy (SEM, JSM-7500, Hitachi, Japan), transmission electron microscopy (TEM, Tecnai G2 F20 S-TWIN, FEI, USA), electrochemical workstation (CHI 660E, Chenhua, Shanghai).
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow
The CNs were prepared by PAN and DMF using the electrostatic spinning method. Pt and Ni2P nanoparticles were grown on the surface of CNs through redox reaction. The CE was fabricated by spraying the mixture on FTO glasses and calcining in N2 atmosphere.
5:Data Analysis Methods
Cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and Tafel polarization measurements were performed to evaluate the electrocatalytic activity and charge-transfer ability of the CEs.
