研究目的
Investigating the controllable preparation of phase-separated Pb/Zn heterogeneous nanoparticles by laser ablation and their application in the growth of PbS tipped ZnS nanorods heterostructures.
研究成果
Phase-separated Pb/Zn HNPs with a controllable phase ratio were successfully synthesized by long-pulse-laser ablation of different Pb/Zn binary targets. The PbS/ZnS heterostructures were prepared by heating a mixture of the as-ablated Pb/Zn HNPs and TAA. The study provides a new strategy for the controllable preparation of phase-separated bimetallic nanoparticles and offers insights into the fundamental physical and chemical aspects of nanocrystal formation after laser ablation of solids in liquids.
研究不足
The study is limited by the technical constraints of laser ablation and the potential for optimization in the preparation of phase-separated bimetallic nanoparticles. The application of these nanoparticles in the growth of specific heterostructures may also have limitations in terms of scalability and reproducibility.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study employed long-pulse-width millisecond laser ablation of Pb/Zn binary metal target immersed in anhydrous ethanol under room conditions to prepare phase-separated Pb/Zn heterogeneous nanoparticles (Pb/Zn HNPs). The PbS/ZnS heterostructures were then grown by heating the mixture of the as-ablated Pb/Zn HNPs and thioacetamide (TAA) at 450°C in a tube furnace.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Pb/Zn binary metal targets with different molar ratios were prepared and used for laser ablation. The as-ablated products were characterized using SEM, TEM, EDS, and XRD.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
A Nd:YAG laser with a wavelength of 1064 nm was used for laser ablation. The Pb/Zn binary metal targets were prepared from Zn and Pb powder (
4:99% purity). Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The Pb/Zn binary metal targets were ablated in anhydrous ethanol using the Nd:YAG laser. The as-ablated products were purified and then used for the growth of PbS/ZnS heterostructures by heating with TAA.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The morphology and structure of the products were analyzed using SEM and TEM. The composition was analyzed using EDS, and the phase structures were investigated using XRD.
