研究目的
Investigating the spontaneous-radiation loss and efficiency limit of two-dimensional van der Waals heterojunction photovoltaic cells combined with an interference-based light-trapping structure.
研究成果
The 2D-PVc-aPhC demonstrates a significant reduction in spontaneous-radiation loss and a higher efficiency limit compared to traditional PVcs. The efficiency limits can be further enhanced with a light-concentrating system, making 2D-PVcs promising for ultrahigh-efficiency solar cells and optoelectronic devices.
研究不足
The study is theoretical and does not include experimental validation. The practical applications of 2D-PVcs face challenges such as high cost and relatively low internal quantum efficiency.
