研究目的
To investigate the effect of periodic patterned micro/nanostructures on the active layers of thin-film organic photovoltaics (OPVs) to improve the device performance.
研究成果
The study demonstrated that micro/nanostructured OPVs exhibit higher performances compared to flat reference OPVs, due to enhanced light absorption from light scattering and surface plasmon excitation. The 1D gratings (CD-R and BD-R) provided enhancement by both light scattering and GCSPR, while the 2D gratings showed improvement mainly from light scattering, with the honeycomb structure providing both effects.
研究不足
The study did not explore the long-term stability of the micro/nanostructured OPVs under operational conditions. Additionally, the impact of environmental factors on device performance was not investigated.
