The study successfully analyzes the Eigen modes of a cylindrical metallic waveguide with a relativistic electron beam, helical wiggler, and ion channel guiding. Six families of eigen modes are identified, and the cutoff frequencies in TM, TE modes are illustrated. The presence of ion-channel guiding affects the normalized frequency of betatron modes and space charge modes differently for group I and II orbits.
