研究目的
To evaluate the near-infrared (NIR) wavelength dependence of Verdet constant in Tb2Zr2O7 (TZO) transparent ceramics for high-power laser applications.
研究成果
The Verdet constant of TZO ceramics at 1064 nm was found to be 50 rad/T·m, which is 1.4 times higher than that of TGG ceramics and comparable to TAG ceramics, indicating its great potential for magneto-optic applications in high-power lasers.
研究不足
The study is limited to the evaluation of Verdet constant in the NIR region and does not explore other wavelengths or temperatures beyond room temperature.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study used a supercontinuum light source for the probe light and placed the TZO sample between two Glan prism polarizers. The transmitted broad NIR spectrum was analyzed using an optical spectrum analyzer. The Faraday rotation angle was estimated by detecting signals with and without a magnetic field.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
The TZO sample was 5 mm in diameter and 15 mm in length, prepared by World-Lab.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Supercontinuum light source (SuperK COMPACT, NKT Photonics), Glan prism polarizers, optical spectrum analyzer (Hamamatsu Photonics KK, C11118GA).
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The sample was placed between polarizers, and the transmitted spectrum was analyzed under magnetic field conditions to estimate the Faraday rotation angle.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The Verdet constant was evaluated based on the Faraday rotation angle measurements.
