1：Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study employed three point bend tests on pre-notched concrete samples using Intensity based plastic optic fiber (POF) with phase difference measurement method and Fiber Bragg grating (FBG) method.
2：Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Pre-notched concrete samples of M-20 composition were used.
3：List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
POF with a core diameter of 980 μm, FBGs fabricated by phase mask technique, a 1000 kn UTM, LVDT for CMOD data recording.
4：Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The POF was sensitized and glued to the pre-notched concrete specimen. The FBG was mounted across the prenotch. A slow rate of loading was applied to the concrete beams.
5：Data Analysis Methods:
The phase difference was calculated using a LAB VIEW phase detection program. The strain was calculated from the shift in the Bragg wavelength.
