CQD/ZnO/CdS NPs were successfully prepared and used as a highly sensitive and fast Fe(III) ions fluorescent nanosensor. The results showed that the foreign ions don’t have significantly interfere with the detection of Fe(III) ions, and the detection limit was calculated to be 1.72 × 10^-7 M. In addition, the detection range is within 1-50 μM, making the CQD/ZnO/CdS nanosensor more accurate. The quenching mechanism between the composite nanoparticles and Fe(III) ions should be static quenching. Through thermodynamic analysis, the interaction of nanoparticles and Fe(III) ions may be the strong hydrophobic forces.
