研究目的
to compare the efficacy of Pulsed Dye Laser (PDL) and Fractional CO2 laser (FCO2L) on hypertrophic scars.
研究成果
Both PDL and Fractional CO2 lasers were equally effective on hypertrophic scars, with no meaningful difference detected between the two treatments.
研究不足
The study was limited to 4 sessions of laser therapy, and not all scar lesions can be treated by 4 sessions. More sessions may be required for more flattening of the scars.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study compared the efficacy of PDL and FCO2L on hypertrophic scars by treating one part of each scar with PDL and the other with FCO2L.
2:2L. Sample Selection and Data Sources:
2. Sample Selection and Data Sources: 35 patients with 37 hypertrophic scars were enrolled.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
PDL (Nlite, Chromogenex lasers UK) with 585nm wavelength and FCO2L (ECO2, Lutronic, South Korea) were used.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The FCO2L side was treated for 3 passes to debulk the scar, and the PDL side was treated with 2 superimposed passes. Procedures were repeated every month for 4 months.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The Vancouver scar scale (VSS) was used to evaluate the efficacy of the treatments.
