研究目的
To evaluate the long-term effectiveness and safety of lasers for epidermal nevi.
研究成果
Ablative lasers can treat verrucous epidermal nevi with good long-term esthetic results, but they have limited long-term efficacy for nevus sebaceous. Q-switched lasers failed to improve Becker nevi.
研究不足
The retrospective nature of the study and the lack of histological confirmation of the diagnosis in most of the patients.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
Bicentric, retrospective, cohort study.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Included all patients treated with a laser for an epidermal nevus with more than a one-year follow-up.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Erbium lasers (2940nm Erb:YAG supErb: XL?, Burane?), CO2 lasers (UltraPulse?, Fraxel Repair?).
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Laser treatment performed by experienced dermatologists, with digital color photographs taken at baseline, soon after the last session, and at the last follow-up.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Physician global assessment (PGA) after the treatment and at the last follow-up, patient satisfaction and self-evaluation.
