A compact all-fiber high-power mode-locked fiber laser was demonstrated with a maximum average output power of 174 mW and a pulse energy of 7.7 nJ. This represents a significant enhancement over previous works and provides a reference for future demonstrations of high-power mode-locked Er-doped fiber lasers.

The lack of a commercial autocorrelator made it difficult to study the real characteristics of pulse width. The pulse width was calculated to be ps-level, but the influence of dispersion on the pulse width was not neglected.
1：Experimental Design and Method Selection:
A ring laser cavity configuration was used with Er-doped fiber as the gain medium. The NPR technique was employed for mode-locking.
2：Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Er-doped fiber (Liekki, Er-80) with a core diameter of 8 μm was used. Two home-made 976 nm single-mode fiber lasers served as pump sources.
