Despite minimizing nonspecific photothermal and photomechanical damage with ultrashort laser pulse durations, tattoo removal lasers may trigger substantial trauma that in rare cases may trigger KA formation. The patient responded to intralesional triamcinolone and delayed retreatment using a picosecond laser, with no further recurrence of tumors.
