The third order current and the photo-mixing efficiency in a semi-Dirac system are strongly anisotropic in the x and y directions. The photo-mixing efficiency in the x direction can be significantly enhanced by a small electric field in the y direction, while the photo-mixing efficiency in the y direction can hardly be enhanced by the electric field in the x direction. The anisotropic effect mainly arises from the unique energy momentum dispersion.
