The paper presents tune-all SIW cavity-resonator-based BPFs based on two in-line coaxial-cavity resonators and one TZ-generation section, resulting in a quasi-elliptic-type transfer function. Multiple levels of RF tuning were achieved by reconfiguring the resonant frequency of the cavity resonators, including center frequency tuning with either constant BW or constant FBW, BW tuning, and intrinsic switching-off. A new type of TZ-generation section using two in-parallel cascaded series-type coaxial-cavity resonators was presented for improved spurious-free out-of-band performance.
