研究目的
To examine feeder dynamics affected by high-capacity PV systems able to control reactive power.
研究成果
The Volt/Var control of high-capacity PV systems could mitigate an increase in overvoltage. The post-fault voltage also decreased during the fault if the PV systems were not properly disconnected because of preset FRT capabilities. The Volt/Var control could cause spikes in the frequency when connecting the PV systems with their full power to the grid. Thus, PV systems seem to need to detect an abnormal fault and stop controlling reactive power in order to make sure safe and correct operation of nearby or coordinated protection devices during faults.
研究不足
The study assumes that the PV systems are not disconnected for a few seconds because of preset fault-ride through (FRT) capabilities after an SLG fault occurs. Further studies are needed to reduce frequency variations when connecting PV systems able to control reactive power.
