The new control strategy using two pumped storage units for joint operations effectively suppresses the large ?uctuations of wind power and photovoltaic power within the dispatching cycle, avoiding the occurrence of large amounts of wind and light abandoning. The effectiveness of the new control strategy is verified through the use of social particle swarm optimization (SPSO) with improved weight.
