研究目的
To evaluate the effect of an Er:YAG laser on the debonding strength of all?ceramic laminate veneers.
研究成果
The application of Er:YAG laser using a scanning method was efficient for debonding laminate veneers and effectively reduces the shear bond strength of laminate veneers, making tooth removal easy.
研究不足
The effects of thermal cycling and long?term storage on bond strength were not evaluated. Only one type of all?ceramic material, resin cement, and laser were used. Surface analyses of the fractured specimens were not performed.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study involved the use of an Er:YAG laser to evaluate its effect on the debonding strength of laminate veneers. The methodology included the fabrication of cylindrical specimens from Empress II ceramic, cementing them to bovine incisors using dual?cured resin cement, and applying the Er:YAG laser to the test group.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
A total of 60 bovine mandibular incisor teeth were used, divided into control and test groups (n = 30 each).
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Empress II ceramic, Variolink II dual?cured resin cement, Er:YAG laser (VersaWave, HoyaConbio), universal testing machine (Instron 3345, Instron Corp.).
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The Er:YAG laser was applied to the test group specimens for 9 s using the scanning method. Shear force was applied to remove the laminate veneers.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Statistical analyses were performed with GraphPad Prisma, version 3.0. The Kolmogorov?Smirnov test was used to determine the distribution of data, and a t?test was used for statistical analysis.
