To summarize the applications of different types of photonic crystals in silicon solar cells and sensitized solar cells, analyze and comment on the possible problems, and point out the future development direction of photonic crystal solar cells.

The paper concludes that although photonic crystals have many excellent optical control properties, there are challenges in their application to perovskite solar cells due to preparation technology and structural limitations. Future research should focus on developing new technologies for preparing large area and high-quality ultra-thin photonic crystals, studying the photonic crystal light control mechanism in depth, designing new structures, and exploring new functions of photonic crystals to improve the efficiency of photonic crystal solar cells.

The limitations include the difficulty in meeting the thickness requirements of perovskite solar cells (PSC) due to the limitations of preparation technology and structure of photonic crystals, and the generally low photoelectric conversion efficiency of photonic crystal PSC.
