Investigating the grid parity of centralized photovoltaic (CPV) electricity in China, including the calculation and prediction of the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) for CPV and coal-fired electricity, and predicting when grid parity in CPV electricity in different resource areas will be achieved.

The study predicts that grid parity for CPV electricity will be achieved in China between 2020 and 2030, depending on the resource area and scenarios of coal and carbon prices. It suggests that local governments should ensure high utilization times for CPV, companies should continue R&D to reduce PV module costs, and preferential taxes for CPV power plants should be maintained to accelerate grid parity.
