To synthesize VO2(M) structures with various shapes by vacuum annealing VO2 metastable phase, formed by hydrothermal method, and to study the phase structure, morphology, surface composition, and phase transition characteristics of VO2.

VO2 with different morphologies and phases were successfully synthesized through a hydrothermal-calcination method. The phase transformation and morphology of VO2 can be controlled by adjusting the n-butanol/water ratio, molar ratio, and molar concentration. The VO2(M) nanoparticles obtained at a low vacuum annealing temperature of 300°C have a low phase transition temperature of 55.43°C. The study provides insights into the synthesis of VO2 with controllable morphology and phase, and the effects of annealing temperature and morphology on phase transition characteristics.
