研究目的
To evaluate the influence of photodynamic therapy (PDT) and light activated irrigation (LAI) using different laser prototypes Er,Cr:YSGG (ECYL), Er:Yag (EYL), Nd-Yag (NYL) on pushout bond strength of Pre-fabricated fiber reinforced composite (PFRC) post to radicular dentin.
研究成果
LAI with different laser prototypes Er, Cr:YSGG, Er:YAG and Nd:YAG improved push out bond values of PFRC post to root dentin when used as an adjunct to NaOCl and EDTA. PDT improved push out strength compared to conventional canal cleaning regime. LAI by lasers can be used as alternative method to improve adhesive bond values.
研究不足
Lack of topographical analysis with electron microscopy of radicular dentin and energy dispersive spectrometry of debonded surfaces. Thermocycling procedures were not adopted, compromising the durability of bond values. Anatomical variations of root specimens may have compromised standardization.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study involved the collection, cleaning, and decoronation of fifty maxillary and mandibular teeth. Root canals were instrumented using crown-down technique and flared using protaper S1, SX files. F1, F2, and F3 files were used for finishing. The canals were then dried and obturated with gutta percha. Teeth were mounted vertically in polyvinyl pipes with acrylic resin, and post space preparation was done using peso-reamers. Samples were divided into five groups based on PDT and LAI with different laser prototypes.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Fifty maxillary single rooted teeth were collected and prepared as described.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Materials included fiber posts, Panavia F
4:0, gutta percha, sealer AH Plus, photosensitizer methylene blue, sodium hypochlorite, ethylenediamine tetra acetic acid, and various laser prototypes. Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
After preparation, fiber posts were luted in root canals with self-etch dual cure cement. Teeth were sectioned at three levels and subjected to push-out tests using a universal testing machine. Failure analysis was performed using a stereomicroscope.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Means and standard deviations of push out bond strength were assessed by one-way ANOVA, with Tukey multiple comparison tests for inter-group comparisons.
