研究目的
Investigating the use of stainless steel mesh fabric as a substrate and electrode in flexible photovoltaic textiles to generate electricity from sunlight.
研究成果
The study demonstrated the feasibility of using stainless steel mesh fabric as a flexible and conductive substrate for photovoltaic textiles. The textile-based solar cells showed promising results, with a power conversion efficiency of 0.69%, and potential for integration into non-planar surfaces for electricity generation.
研究不足
The study achieved a power conversion efficiency of 0.69%, which is lower compared to reference cells. The textile-based solar cells have potential for optimization in terms of efficiency and scalability for mass production.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study used stainless steel mesh fabric as a substrate and electrode for organic solar cells (OSCs). The photoactive layer and hole transport layer were deposited using dip-coating, and the metal back electrode was deposited by thermal evaporation under vacuum.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Stainless steel mesh fabric with specific dimensions and properties was used. The photoelectrical results were measured under standard reporting conditions.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Stainless steel mesh fabric, P3HT, PC61BM, PEDOT:PSS, chlorobenzene, thermal evaporator, solar simulator, source-meter, ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The SS mesh fabric was cleaned, treated, and coated with PEDOT:PSS and P3HT:PCBM. A back metal electrode was then evaporated. The photovoltaic performance was measured.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The power conversion efficiency (PCE) was calculated from the current density-voltage (J-V) characteristics measured under AM 1.5 simulated illumination.
