研究目的
Investigating the environmental impacts and economic feasibility of end-of-life photovoltaic panels in Australia.
研究成果
The domestic treatment of EoL PV modules is feasible and includes high-profit margins while making a considerable reduction on environmental burdens and resource losses. The economic feasibility assessment shows promising numbers for 20,000 tonnes per year of annual PV waste flow, but the plant with a yearly capacity of 10,000 tonnes EoL PV panels did not show profitability at any condition unless special tax-exemption is considered.
研究不足
The study is limited to the Australian context and focuses on crystalline silicon PV panels. The feasibility of the treatment pathway is sensitive to the volume of PV waste flow and government policies such as tax exemptions.
