研究目的
To achieve comparable device efficiency to phosphorescent devices for all-fluorescent white organic light-emitting diodes (WOLEDs) by incorporating a novel yellow fluorophor in co-doping forming blue exciplex.
研究成果
The study successfully demonstrates high-performance all-fluorescent WOLEDs with EQE exceeding the theoretical limit of 5%, achieved by incorporating a novel yellow fluorophor in a blue-emitting TADF host. The optimized device shows maximum current efficiency, power efficiency, and EQE of 20.78 cd/A, 24.25 lm/W, and 8.22%, respectively, indicating significant potential for applications in display and lighting industries.
研究不足
The study does not explicitly mention limitations, but potential areas for optimization could include further improving the efficiency roll-off at high luminance and exploring the scalability of the fabrication process.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection
The study employs a novel yellow fluorophor (Y) doped in a blue-emitting thermally activated delayed fluorescent (TADF) host of mCP:PO-T2T-forming exciplex to fabricate all-fluorescent WOLEDs. The white emission is realized through the combination of blue and yellow emissions from the host and emitter Y via incomplete energy transfer.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources
The yellow fluorophor Y was synthesized by the authors' group. Other materials were commercially sourced and used without further purification.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials
Materials include ITO substrates, MoO3, LiF, Al, mCP, PO-T2T, and the novel yellow emitter Y. Equipment includes a vacuum chamber for film deposition, Keithley 2400 source, BM-70A luminance meter, and PR-655 spectra scan spectrometer.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow
The ITO substrates were cleaned and treated with ultraviolet-ozone. Organic films were deposited using thermal evaporation technology under a base pressure of ≤ 5×10-4 Pa. The deposition rates and film thickness were monitored and controlled. The EL spectra, CIE coordinates, J-V-L characteristics, CE, and PE were measured using specified equipment.
5:Data Analysis Methods
The EQE was calculated from the J?V?L curve and spectra data. The performance of the devices was analyzed based on luminance, current efficiency, power efficiency, and EQE.
