研究目的
To create up to 24-h forecasts of the zonal and meridional components of wave energy flux (WEF) levels at three directional buoys located off the coast in the Bay of Biscay using statistical models and compare their performance with persistence and physics-based models.
研究成果
The RF model outperforms persistence and WAM models for forecasting horizons between 3 and 16 hours. A vectorial approach to forecasting WEF components is recommended for better accuracy.
研究不足
The study is limited to three buoys in the Bay of Biscay, and the applicability of the models to other environments is not fully explored. The WAM model's performance is affected by local bathymetry and grid resolution.
