研究目的
Investigating the luminescence properties of Eu3+-activated Y3Mg2Nb3O14 phosphors for white LED applications.
研究成果
The developed Y3Mg2Nb3O14:Eu3+ phosphors exhibit intense, sharp red emission with high color purity, making them suitable for white LED applications. The incorporation of Mg2+ ions enhances luminescence by perturbing the A site network and increasing radiative probabilities.
研究不足
The study focuses on the luminescence properties under specific conditions and does not explore the full range of potential applications or environmental impacts.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection
The study involved the preparation of Y3Mg2Nb3O14:Eu3+ phosphors via the conventional high-temperature ceramic route and their characterization using powder x-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive spectrometry, UV–visible absorption spectroscopy, and photoluminescence measurements.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources
Precursor materials Y2O3, MgO, Nb2O5, and Eu2O3 (99.99% purity; Sigma-Aldrich) were used in stoichiometric ratios.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials
PANalytical X’pert Pro diffractometer, JEOL JSM-5600LV scanning electron microscope, Shimadzu UV-3600 UV–visible spectrophotometer, Fluorolog HORIBA fluorescence spectrometer.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow
Materials were mixed, calcined at high temperatures, and characterized for structural and luminescent properties.
5:Data Analysis Methods
Rietveld refinement of XRD data, analysis of photoluminescence spectra, and calculation of color purity and correlated color temperature.
