研究目的
The purpose of this study is to model and analyze the ?uid–structure coupled waveforms in a ?exible waveguide containing a ?nite expansion chamber. The main aim is to investigate the adjustments of the half-length of the expansion chamber with an appropriate choice of edge conditions so that the device can be tuned. Moreover, to observe improved performance of the device, the aim is to develop criteria of transmission loss.
研究成果
The study concludes that the attenuation of acoustic modes in a waveguide bounded by an elastic membrane and involving cavities can be effectively analyzed using a mode-matching solution and low-frequency approximation. The choice of edge conditions, the selection of the cavity dimensions, and the bounding material properties are crucial for producing attenuated regions and minimizing structural vibrations.
研究不足
The study is limited to the analysis of ?uid–structure coupled waveforms in a speci?c con?guration of a ?exible waveguide with cavities. The applicability of the results may be constrained by the assumptions made regarding the edge conditions and the dimensions of the cavities.
