研究目的
Analyzing the requirements on the signal and idler state of polarizations (SOPs) for achieving maximum amplification in phase-sensitive amplifiers (PSAs) and evaluating how polarization tracking can overcome the theoretical polarization dependence of both polarization-diverse and vector PSAs.
研究成果
The study concludes that polarization-independent PS amplification can be achieved with a single polarization tracker for dual-polarization modulated signals, requiring control of three degrees of freedom. For single-polarization modulated signals, the requirements are relaxed, needing only two degrees of freedom. Degenerate schemes require two degrees of freedom for DP-BPSK signals and one for SP-BPSK signals in vector PSAs.
研究不足
The study is theoretical and focuses on the polarization requirements and tracking schemes for PSAs. Practical implementation challenges and the impact of environmental factors on polarization tracking are not discussed.
