MXene DSMSCs with superior integration, arbitrary shape, and outstanding flexibility were engineered by synchronous femtosecond laser etching on both sides of transparent PET substrate. This method doubles the integration level compared to routine one-side configuration and allows for easy adjustment of output voltages and capacitance by the number of MSC units and design of connections.

The maximum power of incident laser should be less than 4 mW to avoid damage and carbonization of PET film. The approach requires precise control of laser focus position to ensure quality etching on both sides.
