研究目的
To characterize pepper seedling growth under various spectra to determine how spectral signaling influences morphological development and growth.
研究成果
Pepper plants grown under spectra containing green light showed better growth than single-leaf photosynthesis measurements and the YPF would suggest. Green light increased leaf area and decreased specific leaf weight, while blue light increased specific leaf weight. A broad spectrum including red, green, and blue wavelengths resulted in the highest shoot dry weight and plant compactness.
研究不足
The study was conducted at low irradiance levels, which may not reflect conditions in all controlled environment agriculture settings. The distance of the fixture to the average height of the plant canopy was not adjusted during the experiments, which may have influenced the results.
