A new polyoxovanadate-based metal–organic polyhedron was successfully synthesized, displaying rhombicuboctahedral geometry with an rdo topology. The packing of the polyhedra produces a circular channel, indicating potential applications in gas separation and storage, drug delivery, and catalysis.
