研究目的
To investigate exudative macular disease using multifunctional optical coherence tomography (MF-OCT) and evaluate its clinical utility.
研究成果
MF-OCT can noninvasively reveal depth-resolved abnormal vasculatures, the integrity of the RPE and choroid, discrimination of the RPE and exudation, and existence of ?brosis scars in exudative macular diseases, matching well with conventional ophthalmic examinations.
研究不足
The study was limited by the small sample size and the descriptive nature of the case series. Further validation with larger cohorts is needed.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
Developed MF-OCT using a 1-lm probe band for simultaneous structural OCT, Doppler OCA, and polarization-sensitive imaging.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Ten eyes of nine subjects with exudative macular disease were investigated.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Custom-built MF-OCT based on SS-OCT technology with a 1-lm probing wavelength.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Scanned areas of 6 x 6 mm2 around the pathologic region with 512 x 1024 depth scans in
5:6 seconds. Data Analysis Methods:
Obtained structural OCT, power Doppler tomography, cumulative phase retardation, and DOPU images from the measurements.
