研究目的
To design a compact CP antenna with high gain and wide AR beamwidth.
研究成果
The proposed antenna configuration exhibits a broad beamwidth and low cross-polarization in the boresight direction, with an impedance bandwidth of 10.8%, an AR bandwidth of 1.5%, a realized RHCP gain of 4.4 dBic, and a 3-dB AR beamwidth of 142?. This design is suitable for wireless control systems such as flight control systems.
研究不足
The study focuses on the design and experimental validation of a specific antenna configuration. Potential areas for optimization include further miniaturization and enhancement of the axial ratio bandwidth.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The design involves a circularly polarized substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity-backed antenna based on dual concentric, orthogonal slot split ring resonators. The circularly polarized wave is generated by two split ring-slots etched in the upper metal layer of the SIW cavity resonator, excited by a coaxial probe.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
A prototype of the proposed antenna was fabricated and tested.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
The S-parameter was measured using the Agilent vector network analyser PNA N5230C, and the radiation characteristics were measured in a microwave chamber.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The antenna's performance was evaluated based on impedance bandwidth, axial ratio bandwidth, and RHCP gain.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The experimental results were compared with simulated ones to validate the antenna's performance.
