The inclusion of the double-bounce decorrelation term complicates the inversion of the RVoG model but is not always necessary as the retrieved values are not significantly different from the actual ones. The error becomes noticeable only for incidence angles shallower than 30 degrees and large products of vertical wavenumber and vegetation height.
