研究目的
Investigating the properties and applications of transparent conductive oxides (TCOs) such as ITO, ZnO, SnO2, and TiO2 for use in transparent thin film electrodes.
研究成果
The TCO materials reviewed (In2O3, SnO2, TiO2, and ZnO) are commercially used in various applications due to their unique combination of high optical transparency and electrical conductivity. The lowest resistivities are achieved with doped IO, while ZnO offers a cheaper alternative with slightly higher resistivities. The maximum carrier concentrations achievable are similar across these materials, but the resistivities vary due to differences in electron mobilities.
研究不足
The study is limited by the solubility limit of dopants in these oxides and by the so-called ionized impurity scattering of the electrons at the ionized dopant atoms, limiting the carrier mobility too.
