研究目的
To study the appearance and origin of the Fano resonance in light scattering by individual and aggregates of nanoparticles.
研究成果
Fano resonance plays a key role in various wave type phenomena and can be considered as a resonant interference effect. The study demonstrates its natural appearance in partial wave scattering, leading to interesting effects in both linear and nonlinear regimes, including excitation of nonradiating anapole modes and high efficiency harmonic generation in nonlinear materials.
研究不足
The study is limited to the analysis of light scattering by finite obstacles and does not cover infinite or periodic structures. The complexity of identifying and coupling interfering states in Fano resonances is also a noted challenge.
