The presented optimisation scheme yields good results in terms of agreement between measured and simulated data. The optimised electrode structure allows for the optimisation of all relevant parameters while keeping the simulation model axisymmetric, significantly reducing calculation time. Future work aims to reduce cross-sensitivities between material parameters and further automate the measurement set-up to reduce systematic uncertainties.

The study relies on a local optimisation process which may not explore the entire parameter space, potentially missing global optima. Additionally, the method requires a good initial estimate of material parameters for the optimisation to converge to a plausible solution.
