To evaluate the frequency dependence of CENAM calculable resistors using a METAS calculable resistor as reference and analyze the observed linear frequency dependence in the 1 k? CENAM calculable resistors.

The frequency dependence of CENAM’s 10 k? CR and METAS’s 1 k? CR are in good agreement with the calculated frequency dependence, allowing the use of RC-10K-D5e as reference in the traceability chain. The wire in RC-1k-D will be replaced to evaluate if the linear frequency dependence disappears, with additional tests and corrections in the welding process needed.

The linear frequency dependence observed in the 1 k? CENAM calculable resistor is not expected in the model of CRs of any geometry, suggesting potential issues with the wire or terminal-wire connections due to transportation or welding process.
