研究目的
Investigating the magneto-optical properties of asymmetric one-dimensional magneto-photonic crystals (MPCs) and demonstrating that an MPC with one magnetic defect, placed asymmetrically, provides the same number of degrees of freedom as a symmetric double-defect MPC.
研究成果
An asymmetric single-defect MPC can provide the same number of degrees of freedom as a symmetric double-defect MPC, allowing arbitrary transmittance and Faraday rotation at the central frequency. However, the performance range is more restricted. An asymmetric double-defect MPC provides more degrees of freedom, allowing for more compact designs with a wider performance range.
研究不足
The performance range of a single-defect MPC is more restricted than that of a double-defect MPC. The synthesis accuracy can be affected by the discrete values of the stacking numbers.
