研究目的
To study the effect of acid and base by using UV spectrophotometry, on different brands of mefenamic acid under ICH guideline Q1A (R2).
研究成果
The research concludes that when chosen brands of mefenamic acid were subjected to 0.1 N HCl, highly considerable degradation was observed in all the brands. Similarly, when subjected to 0.1 N NaOH, highly considerable degradation was observed in brands A, B, and C, with no degradation observed in brands D and E.
研究不足
The study is limited to the analysis of five brands of mefenamic acid and the effects of only 0.1 N HCl and 0.1 N NaOH. The study does not explore the effects of other concentrations or types of acids and bases.
