研究目的
Investigating the photocatalytic reduction ability towards Cr(VI) of Au/TiO2 catalysts compared to standard P25 catalysts under different conditions.
研究成果
The study concludes that the photocatalytic reduction ability towards Cr(VI) of Au/TiO2 catalysts is less reactive compared to standard P25 catalysts under UV-Vis excitation. The efficiency of Cr(VI) reduction increases strongly in the presence of citric acid under UV light. The mechanisms and processes resulting in the change of the catalyst system should be taken into account critically for recycling experiments and the recovery of the original photocatalysts.
研究不足
The study highlights the partial dissolution of gold hydroxide by citric acid and the reduction and desorption of Cr on the surface and/or Au nanoparticles, leading to the formation of new catalyst systems under reaction conditions. These changes in the catalyst system should be critically considered for recycling experiments and the recovery of original photocatalysts.
