To measure and analyze the interphase properties of Polyimide/Silicon Nitride nanocomposites using Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and Peak Force Quantitative Nano Mechanical (PF QNM) mode, and to confront experimental results with theoretical models.

The experimental results confirm the presence of an interphase with a thickness of 20 to 30 nm, in agreement with theoretical models. Future work will explore the interphase properties further and include electrical characterization.
