The FMIM2 was found to be the optimal fluorescent imprinted membrane with a relative wide linear range and lower detection limits (24 mg L-1). The FMIM2 had acceptable fluorescent selectivity toward structural analogues of SA. Moreover, the FMIM2 could be used at least four times without significantly weakening the fluorescence stability.

The FMIM showed less selectivity towards the 3-HB and p-HB than the other three substrates due to their similar chemical structure to SA.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The FMIM was prepared by phase inversion technique with SA as template molecule, chitosan (CHI) as functional polymer, and Eu(TTA)3phen/PAMAM as the fluorophore. The membranes were characterized by SEM, AFM, and XPS techniques.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
SA solutions with different concentrations ranging from 5 to 100 mg L-1 were used for the study of the static binding behavior of the fluorescent membrane.

4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The FMIM was prepared by phase inversion technique. The static binding behavior of the fluorescent membrane was studied by adding a piece of fluorescent membrane into SA solutions with different concentrations.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The fluorescence intensity was recorded by fluorescence microplate reader. The binding amount of SA was calculated by the equation provided.
