The Ethiopian natural zeolite sample (ET4) can be potentially used for photocatalytic applications due to its high Ti-content. However, the presence of large numbers of cations requires their complete removal to customize the zeolite for photocatalysis.

The presence of impurities and extra framework cations in the natural zeolites may hinder photocatalytic efficiency. Better techniques for the removal of these cations are needed to improve photocatalytic activity.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study involved three different approaches: simple calcination of raw zeolite ET4 sample, loading of raw zeolite ET4 sample with 20% TiO2 followed by calcination at 500 °C, and treatment of raw zeolite ET4 sample followed by loading with 20% TiO2 and calcination at 500 °C.
