研究目的
Calculating M shell and M subshells ionization cross sections following electron impact on single atoms from Ce to Ho using Lotz's equations.
研究成果
M shell σM and σMi (i = 1 to 5) of Ce to Ho by electron impact results show that for M shell σM and for Mi subshells σMi increase rapidly by Eoi while Eoi increases from Ei≤Eoi≤5Ei. These increments faster for very close to threshold energy values. For a fixed Eo ≈ 3,5.EMi, while Z increases in 58Ce≤ Z ≤67Ho σM and σMi decrease.
研究不足
The complexity of the electron impact process and σMi(i = 1,..,5) measurements may introduce some uncertainty. There are still less systematic theoretical studies on the subject.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
Calculations were carried out using Lotz's equations in Matlab for each atom.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Calculations done for 12 Eoi values chosen in the energy range of EMi<Eoi<5EMi for each atom.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Matlab software was used for calculations.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
By using the sum of calculated 5 σMi subshells of each atom for 12 values of Eoi, M shell σMitotal were calculated.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The values of ai, bi, ci and qi are given in the same order for Mi(i=1,.,5) equal to (4, 4, 4, 1.4, 1.4)x10-14cm2(eV)2, for bi equal to 0.3, 0.6, 0.6, 0.96, 0.96; for ci equal to 0.6, 0.4, 0.4, 0.13, 0.13 and for qi are equal to2, 2, 4, 5, 4 values used.
