研究目的
Investigating the anomalous passive Q-switching behavior induced by Cr4+:YAG in a compact Yb:KLu(WO4)2 laser, achieving stable passively Q-switched operation at repetition rates approaching up to 1 MHz.
研究成果
Anomalous passive Q-switching action induced by a Cr4+:YAG saturable absorber was demonstrated in a compact Yb:KLuW laser, achieving stable operation at a repetition rate as high as 0.97 MHz. The performance shows a close similarity to Yb-ion lasers passively Q-switched by 'fast' 2D saturable absorbers.
研究不足
Stable passively Q-switched operation could only be realized under high output couplings of T ? 80%, and the Cr4+:YAG saturable absorber could only be partially bleached.
