研究目的
Investigating the thermoelectric effects in semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) based on the linear response theory combined with the thermal Green’s function method, and explaining the bipolar thermoelectric effects observed in recent experiments.
研究成果
The study successfully explains the bipolar thermoelectric effects in semiconducting SWCNTs using a theoretical scheme based on one-dimensional Dirac electrons. It also clarifies the temperature dependence of the Seebeck coefficient of semiconducting SWCNTs at low temperature.
研究不足
The study does not account for the effects of Anderson localization due to the interference effects of scattered waves, which can lead to finite DOS even in the energy region where the conductivity is zero.
