研究目的
Investigating the development and design of lanthanide-based oxygen sensors and their photophysical properties related to oxygen sensing.
研究成果
Lanthanide-based oxygen sensors are promising due to their unique luminescence properties, such as large Stokes shifts, narrow emission bands, and long decay times. Tb(III) complexes are particularly favored for their high oxygen sensitivity. However, challenges remain in improving quantum yields and simplifying synthesis processes for broader application.
研究不足
The review highlights the low quantum yields of lanthanide complexes and the potential toxicity requiring stable complex formations, which may involve tedious multi-step syntheses. Additionally, the sensitivity of Eu(III), Dy(III), Nd(III), and Gd(III) complexes to oxygen is noted to be low compared to Tb(III) complexes.
