MgTiO3 nanoparticles were successfully synthesized with high purity and a band gap of 3.05 eV, showing effective photocatalytic degradation of Congo red (up to 85% in 180 min under visible light). Holes and hydroxyl radicals are the primary active species. The catalyst is recyclable with consistent performance over multiple cycles.
