1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study involved in vitro and ex vivo experiments using commercial OCT and OCTA devices to evaluate lipid emulsions as contrast agents. Methods included phantom imaging, spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, and ex vivo perfusion of porcine eyes.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Lipid emulsions tested were milk (semi-skimmed, full fat, coffee cream) and Propofol. Porcine eyes were obtained from a local abattoir for ex vivo imaging.

Porcine eyes were perfused with LEs, and OCTA imaging was performed to visualize aqueous outflow. Histology was conducted with trypan blue staining.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Image processing used ImageJ/FIJI software, statistical analysis with GraphPad Prism, including ANOVA and t-tests for comparisons.
